2026 Michael F. Price Memorial Grant

The DeGregorio Family Foundation, in partnership with the Torrey Coast Foundation, is pleased to announce a Request for Applications (RFA) for up to $1 million regarding gastroesophageal cancer malignancies.

Request for Applications

The RFA is for high-impact projects up to $1 million. Projects evaluating novel targets, new approaches to validated targets, or new technology applied toward early detection and prevention are encouraged. The potential for patient impact will be prioritized. Completion should be within 1 to 3 years.

Funding — up to $1 million over 1 to 3 years, including indirect costs capped at 15%.

Questions should be sent in writing to sarah@degregorio.org and will be answered promptly. Applications are reviewed under the guidance of the Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Board, headed by Dr. Manish A. Shah.

Any publications or presentations resulting from this research must be acknowledged.

Instructions

All applicants are required to submit a letter of intent (no more than 2 pages, 11-point font, 0.75" margins) indicating the title, background, aims and abbreviated plan, impact, and institution(s) and key investigators involved. Please include a high-level budget and deliverables for each aim within the 2 pages.
